What to Expect?
Like with any treatment we offer here at CARE Red Bank, a skin analysis is completed first to create a personalized plan for treatment that is tailored to you and your specific skin needs. Topical numbing will be applied to the skin to ensure the patient is comfortable. The punctures are so tiny that this process is virtually painless. This treatment may require several treatments for optimal results.
Pre Care Instructions
- Avoid any Retinoids & exfoliants 5-7 days prior to treatment
- Avoid laser treatments and sun exposure 2 weeks prior to treatment
- Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to treatment
- Avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Aleve®, Fish oil, Ginko Biloba as these blood thinners could cause additional bruising
Post Care Instructions
- Do not use ice on your face and avoid using arnica after treatment. These may interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for this treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment
- Apply sunscreen daily after treatment
- Avoid any skincare products for at least 12 hours after treatment
- Avoid any Retinoids & exfoliants for 7 days after treatment
